Ideas

In no particular order:

• See if Grinnellcorps would be interested in having Cañitas be a possible location for its corps members. Asked about this. Won't work. 
• Using Grinnell Press, publish a book with writing samples written in English by the students I teach. The students don't know enough English at this time to write much of anything. 
• Create a PayPal account for donations to La Asociación de Desarrollo Integral de Los Tornos, Cebadilla, La Cruz y Cañitas. Will be posting directions for making a wire transfer to their bank account. 
• Teach La Asociación about Kiva.
• Inform Social Entrepreneurs of Grinnell about needs in the four communities here.
• Try to get local English speakers to volunteer their time at Escuela Cañitas and other local schools so the students can continue learning after I leave.
• Create a fund for affordable and sustainable English classes in the area.
• Create a Wikipedia page for the communities here / their various development organizations. Waiting to receive the information they would like to have posted on such a page. 
• Create a volunteer network for the area... maybe something like The Monteverde Volunteer Network. See if La Asociación could help me organize this and if local businesses would give discounts to people who volunteer with the member sites.
